That’s the problem with patronage – too many folks to reward, too few jobs, in any adminstration. If you are working in the sub-Cabinet offices – either your knowledge of the system or skill set is low and you couldn’t land in a better spot, like Commerce, State, or Treasury. Sounds like this guy was both.

Even though it is not really his place as a non-degreed B.A. journalist in public affairs to edit the technological content of a scientist. The two things that bother me is that these people don't even bother to check resumés. I don't put my GPA on resumés and I worry that they will check for it. Why bother they won't even check if I have the degree. The second thing is that they are trying to stifle science. Even if it is a scientific opinion it is still important to be heard.
