		<description>If nothing else it sounds like they need to improve communication with their speakers. A better tack in this situation would have been to send you an email saying "Hey, we notice you haven't registered for the conference. You don't have to, but if you were planning on attending other sessions we ask that you do by x date."</description>

		<description>I reread the email and the words "past due" were not used, but since they were asking me to either overnight a check or fax them a credit card number, I assumed that was the case. The email implied haste.

I think there was some misunderstandings on my part, but I do believe that this is a system that is broken.</description>

I don't know what other conclusion you could possibly draw than that registration was required. I'm pretty sure whenever my bills say that, they're not offering me an option.</description>
