–Jane, laughing in 2.0
Is Twitter really meaningless? Sometimes, yes, but the smile that I get from reading things on Twitter is valuable to me. Here are some things to brighten your day:
- What is Web 2.0? And why can’t I get it in my pants? from LouiZoot
- explaining to Luke the dif between a “time out” in basketball and a “time out” for kids (L: “that guy has to have a time out? what’d he do?) from stevelawson
- Librarians are hiding something. from Steven Colbert
- Drew just asked me who Judy Blume is. *headdesk* Clearly, my husband was never an adolescent girl. from Jenica26
–Jane, Twitter may be chaotic subversion at its best
I received a spam comment from Jesus. The. Son. Of. God.
I know if Jesus can take the time to send me a spam comment, my place in heaven must be assured.
–Jane, what a relief
In a surprise move, Google takes over OCLC and thus the library world. Will we even have a catalog anymore or will everyone “just look it up in Google?” Oh, wait, they already do. Well, I might as well quit and go live in the mountains. Free information is dead.
For more commentary, read Hectic Pace, Free Range Librarian, and It’s All Good.
–Jane, is wrong to still love Google?
Just a bit of something to start your week off right. You have to see it to believe the goodness.
–Jane, hooked on a feeling
It is silly, so very eighties, and you probably all saw it at the bottom of you Al Direct (right?), but I could not resist giving them some link love.
Normally, I would not post this stuff, but it was Firefly, so how could I possibly resist?
You are Wash (Ship Pilot)
|You are a pilot with a good
if not silly sense of humor.
You take pride in your collection of toys.
You love your significant other.
