I saw a couple movies over the break which I would like to share with you.
Napoleon Dynamite – If you like comedy about nothing in particular, except maybe other people’s peculiarities, this is the movie for you. It is story of the sadly inept, but funny Napoleon, his friend Pedro, and the ever impressive Deb. Really, there were times when I was sure I would not be able to stop laughing.
Anchorman – This movie was pretty much what I expected from Will Ferrell though I did like Old School more. It had moments of hilarity surrounded by not-s0-great verbal exchanges. The two best parts: the most original sex scene (with cartoons!) and a great “fight” scene. It was worth sitting through the movie to see these two sequences.
The Manchurian Candidate (2004) – A good “government” is evil remake though predictable at times. It was worth a rental.
The 10th Kingdom – This was originally a miniseries that aired on TV. I watched the first 2 hours hoping that it would get better, but alas, it did not. The story, while interesting, was not interesting enough to keep me… interested. I am sorry I wasted good Netflix queue space to this.
