Leaving On a Jet Plane

Things are quiet in my department today due to the fact that almost everyone has already left for either ACRL or TLA (Texas Library Association). I am going to spend the rest of my afternoon trying to gather all the things I need to take with me to Minneapolis. I am so happy to finally be able to attend a national conference that I am having trouble doing anything else: pesky collection development and reference shifts.

I am gathering my things and my biggest decision when I get home will be the same dilemma faced on the outset of every trip: What books should I take with me? I have no idea. I do not want to take the train wreck of a book I am reading now (don’t ask) so I will have to choose something else, something good. I will be posting while at ACRL on this blog and on the official blog. There should be deep thoughts and rable rousings enough to please all. To all those who are home, we shall miss you, and to all those who are traveling, arrive safely.
