I realized over the weekend that I have many wonderful things on the horizon which I will soon be able to see or get in my grubby paws. Even though this list I am about to put forth to you, dear reader, will expose some of my favorite things, I do not hesitate. I am not ashamed.
Flicks:
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, now playing– I always have to go see just how bad they mucked up the book, but with an open mind.
Kingdom of Heaven, now playing – I love epics and I am a complete sap, so I am sure I will love Scott’s new offering.
Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, opens May 19th – I know many people hate Lucas’ new Star Wars, but hey, I’m still a fan because I believe the new trilogy serves a different purpose than the first.
Serenity, opens September 30th – I absolutely can not wait to see this BDM. It’s gonna be shiny!
Underworld: Evolution, opens December 2nd – I do not know how I can wait until December for this movie.
Books:
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling, out July 16th – For HP and the Order of the Phoenix – I waited in line till 1am to get my hands on a book. I think this year, I will calmly go to the store the next day and buy one without the huge crowd.
Eldest by Christopher Paolini, out August 23rd – This is the second book of an amazing author. The Inheritance series began in Eragon.
A Breath of Snow and Ashes by Diana Gabaldon, out September 27th – I have been reading about Jaime and Claire since high school and wind up rereading some of the previous books every year or so just because I have missed them.
