Today is June 1st, the first day of hurricane season. I have heard from at least two different news sources that this season is supposed to be another active one. All I needed this morning to assure me that this season may be worse than normal was to look out my kitchen window. A wall of black clouds from the north was streaking across the sky this morning. It would have been worse only if the black was accompanied by the sickly green of a tornado sky. Due to the rain, it took me an hour to get to the library today, but I am safe, dry, and grateful for small things.
