I had a fabulous weekend with a friend and old roommate from Dallas. We ate, drank, and talked our way across Houston. It has reached that point in the summer where the heat is deflating. I feel like I am melting if I have to be outside for more than 30 seconds. Ah, the glories of coastal living in Texas. At least we missed the Hurricane Dennis excitement; we could have really used the rain. There is already another storm brewing, so we are not clear yet. Mr. Rochester has never been in a hurricane and is hoping for one this year. Crazy, but there is a sort of terrifying excitement that comes with big storms.
The next couple of weeks at work and home will be hectic, but I will try not to ignore you, gentle readers.
–Jane, I’m melting, melting, melting………
