Goin’ To the Chapel

I have to go into work today and I will be very busy, so this might be the only post you get today, gentle readers, but it is a doozy.

After 8 years, Mr. Rochester has decided to make me an honest woman. I am now in possession of a very sparkley ring and the rights to nag him until the day he dies. Awesome.

–Jane, promises to nag in sickness and health

Congratulations! What did you do about the old bat in the attic?

Maybe you need a new persona? I could see you as Nora Charles….

Nah, I am keeping the persona. I think Hurricane Rita drove the old bat out. 😉

    Thanks for the Congrats.

    Yippeee!!!! Congratulations!!!

I’m going to give you one small piece of engagement advice. Don’t go and start planning the wedding right away. Enjoy just being engaged for a while before the wedding stress starts. Bask in the afterglow. Savor it. 🙂 That’s the only thing I would change about my own experience (I got on TheKnot.com that very day). 😉 I had a 22 person destination wedding so none of it was really super-stressful anyways.

Best wishes on your life together!!!

I’ll add to the chorus–congratulations! Glad to know the mysterious Mr. Rochester is living up to his namesake.
