Same Sex Politics in Texas

If you want to know what is going on in Texas politics for the next couple of weeks, BOR has a roundup of some of the arguments going on around HJR 6/Prop. 2 on the ballot November 8th. The Proposition would make an amendment to the Texas Constitution banning same sex marriage.
I will be interested to see how this plays out in my very conservative home state. I have had my head in the dirt the past few weeks and thus have not changed my voter registration to my new address. I will, therefore, be unable to add my vote against Prop. 2. I hope that enough people see reason and it does not pass.

Or you could be responsible and go early vote. That’s what I have to do since I’ll be in transit on Nov. 8.

I have to look into that (the early vote). I will admit I often could care less about little votes off the major times, but this is something that is bugging me. I am currently registered and voted in the last presidential, so think am all set this time around (have to check). Anyhow, I agree and hope people will come to their senses. However, in my short time here, I have learned that is a high hope. Best.
