The evening reception was very nice. With the help of a lot of snacks and cold beverages, we wandered around the room, playing “get to know you†bingo. There were some opening remarks by Dana Rooks, Dean of the UH Libraries. She spoke to the group about the importance of teaching information literacy and the future of Higher Education. Our faculty introduced themselves and the organizing school, the University of Texas and the University of Houston.
This morning we are in groups of 5-6 doing who knows what. We are getting to know the others at our table and sipping coffee. Ah, coffee.
