The title is with apologies to Louise Rennison, though I think she would not mind.
I will be out of the country, visiting the pleasures of Costa Rica for the next week. By pleasures I mean, how much drink can one consume on the beach in one sitting. We will be traveling to some nice nature reserves, waterfalls, beaches, and enjoying all Costa Rica has to offer, which includes, drinks I am told.
The pictures should be hilarious and alternatively, very beautiful. This is my first beach vacation and I am all a tingle. I will be happily unplugged.

One of our most memorable cruises was along the Pacific coast of Costa Rica (on Wind Star, a 155-passenger cruise ship that uses computer-controlled sails whenever there’s enough wind). We visited nature preserves, more nature preserves, and a nature preserve or two. And it was fabulous. We’ll go back…it’s a wonderful place to visit. Good on you for being unplugged: That makes it a real vacation!
My favorite place in Costa Rica was on the shores of Lake Arenal in the evening watching the volcano glow and erupt. Horseback riding through the banana plantations near Monteverde is also a great experience. I hope you have lots of fun.
