I am catching up with my feeds, a seemingly perpetual state, and just finished reading John Blyberg’s post from Friday. It is wonderful and a great response to a very pointed question. He also questions the lobbying ability of ALA, which I have found myself pondering recently as well, and talks about reaching out to the disenfranchised.
The possibilities of libraries and new technologies is infinite. Libraries can be even more relevant to our users because technology is creating ways for us to go to them instead of making them come to us. It is beautiful and fills me with hope.
