Sailing the High Seas

Arg, Matey! The Rochesters will be sailing the high seas on our way to a couple stops in Mexico this week. It is my first cruise and I am looking forward to all the things I have heard about, like the food and the swim up bar. Mr. R and I are going with his parents, his sister and her husband, and the father inlaw inlaw. Confusing, yes? It should be fun. I mean, if it is not, I can always have another drink.

Besides all those dumb dress up clothes I had to pack, the most important decisions I made were, of course, which books I was taking along. I chose the following three:

  1. His Majesty’s Dragon by Naomi Novik
  2. Pretties by Scott Westerfeld
  3. Goddess of Spring by P.C. Cast

This space will be quiet until Thursday or Friday. Have a great week. I will not be missing you. I will be sitting by the pool with a drink sporting a little umbrella.

–Jane, off to have fun

have a lovely trip! I’ve only cruised once – it was fantastic & I can’t wait to do it again! (and Pretties is great vacation reading) 🙂

Hrm, I didn’t love P.C. Cast, but hoooo boy, did I ever love Naomi Novik! I hope the swim-up bar and the books serve you well…
