Are You Lost Without Lost?

I have been passing on the radio this week in favor of pop culture fun, hence the last post and this gem.

I am counting the days until Lost starts up again in February. My friend, eprahs, sent me this video that the Lost cast made for a convention in Las Vegas. The receipt of this video proves my point that all eprahs does all day is search YouTube for clips to send to me.
Just a little bit of fun to start your day off right.

–Jane, so glad the good tv is finally kicking up again

Joss Whedon

I have been catching up on my podcasts the past couple of days on my drive in. I really only listen to two podcasts, The Signal and Firefly Talk. I am a woman of singular taste.

This morning, I listened to a bonus show of Firefly talk during which they replayed Joss’ speech during an Equality Now function. It is only about 8 minutes long and you can listen to it on YouTube (see previous link).

His speech is short and wonderful. He is the original BDH and I am happy to be a fangirl.
–Jane, “equality is not a concept”

The Brobdingnagian Bards

The Brobdingnagian Bards

Originally uploaded by Wandering Eyre.

With the Bellhaven and Guinness in hand, Mr. Rochester, assorted friends, and I listened to the music of the Brobdingnagian Bards last night. They came to Houston for a house concert. There were songs about drinking, the man they call Jayne, Jedi nights, Hamlet, Frodo Baggins, kissing frogs, ducats, medicinal compounds, and other hilarity.

It was fabulous. I had an absolute blast. If you ever get a chance to see the Bards in person, do not hesitate. Grab your favorite Irish or Scottish brew and run to the venue. If Marc and Andrew will not be in your city anytime soon, you can always listen to the podcast.

–Jane, listening to my new CD

Lego My Spaceship

While listening to The Signal, I heard about this and had to go in search of pictures. What is not cool about legos and Serenity? Nothing! The very best part is that this wonderful Browncoat offers “bags o bricks” with all the things you need to make the “snack sized” version. I, of course, think that I now need this. Alas, I will never get it and it will be added to the list of Joss related things I want.
–Jane, at least someone is crazier then me

404 and Other Annoying Occurrences

I finally have time today to catch up on my feeds and Bloglines appears to be down, with an outdated 404. Grr. Arg.

Today is Tuesday and I really wish it was Thursday or Friday.

When are these people going to come out with the new episode!? Do they really expect me to keep this level of productivity up at work? Per the first sentence of this post, there is no Bloglines, I can not remember all the sites I like, and I need something to read besides papers on Instructional Design.

–Jane, back to instructional design it is *le sigh*
