My friend, who truly knows what a complete dork I am, sent me this link. Who would not want this for their very own? To sit on your desk and lecture you on the imprudence of pride and prejudice?
–Jane, anyone feeling generous?

I think it is a sign of my nerdiness or my lack of life, but the song stuck in my head is the theme song for Civilization IV.
–Jane, the people demand a cathedral
It is dangerous to play Risk with me because I get very competitive and cranky. Mr. Rochester sent this link to me this morning. It is Risk using Google. World domination here I come.
–Jane, attacking from the north
Everything is unpacked except the kitchen. It is a good feeling, as if I actually live there now instead of visiting on the weekends. Even with a stool, I can barely reach the top shelf in the kitchen cabinets, let alone into them, so Mr. R will be helping with with that tonight. Poor man. He must really love me.
For two nights in a row we have stayed up playing Civ. Tonight we are going on hiatus to get some things done around the house. Oh, and sleep at a normal time.
Next substantial post, as in something other than ME!, will be a short review of The Time Traveler’s Wife, which I just finished.
–Jane, working, working
I am home from work today taking a “mental health day.” Translated to , “If I do no get all these boxes unpacked before my future in-laws get here, I might kill myself if Mr. Rochester does not do me in first.”
I plan to unplug from the computer, lovingly unpack my books (which I miss when they are away), drink coffee in my pjs, and catch up on all my TiVoed Gilmore Girls from the past month. Hooray!
Last night, Mr. R and I played the tutorial for Civ IV and WOW. All the upgrades for this version are great. I can’t wait to play against him tonight for real even if he will kick my sorry arse all over the globe.
True geek love: Mr. R went to buy Civ IV for himself last night and brought me home a surprise: really nice headphones with an attached microphone for game playing. I knew I was marrying him for a reason.
–Jane, those boxes are callin’ my name
At home, on my computer, is Civilization IV. Waiting for me. By the time I get home tonight, Mr. R will be playing his own version and we will stay up late wallowing in Sid Meier’s creation.
–Jane, polytheism or monotheism?
